Charters

Charter a boat in Bermuda.

One boat. 25 guests. A water slide. Pickup from any major dock.

A BDA Boats charter is a private, captained day on the water for your group and nobody else. The boat is the Pontune Paradise, a two-deck pontoon licensed for up to 25 guests with an inflatable water slide, shaded upper deck, Bluetooth sound and a cooler kept on ice. Every charter includes the licensed captain, fuel, snorkel gear, kayaks, a paddleboard and life jackets. You pick the length (4-hour sunset cruise or a full 8-hour day), we pick you up from any major Bermuda dock, and owner-captain Sean DeSilva shapes the route around what your group wants.

Pick your charter

Two ways to do a Bermuda day.

Celebrating something? Birthdays, bachelorettes and group parties live on the party boat page. Rather think of it as a rental? Same boat, same captain, over on boat rentals.

Where the day goes

Reefs, wrecks and pink-sand coves.

Full-day charters hop between the spots Sean has been running for 20+ years: snorkel the Vixen Wreck, anchor off Cambridge Beaches, swim Castle Harbour and Grotto Bay, or chase the sunset at Pompano Beach. Bermuda's reef line blocks the open-ocean swell, so the inshore water stays calm enough for first-time snorkelers and kids.

And the itinerary isn't a contract. If the group falls in love with the first cove, we stay. If you'd rather fish than cruise, we grab rods. Sean reads the day and rolls with it.

Bermuda charter questions.

How much does a private boat charter cost in Bermuda?+

Rates depend on the duration, group size and season, and every quote includes the licensed captain, fuel and the standard gear listed on each charter page. There's a 4-hour minimum, no hourly bookings. WhatsApp Sean at +1 (441) 518-7077 or email info@bdaboats.com with your dates and headcount for a same-day rate.

Do I need a license to charter a boat in Bermuda?+

No. Bermuda requires a local commercial license to operate a boat carrying paying guests, so every BDA Boats charter comes with a licensed captain who handles navigation, safety and all Bermuda Maritime Authority requirements. The captain is included in every quote.

How many people can come on the charter?+

The Pontune Paradise is licensed for up to 25 guests plus the captain. Whether you're 4 people or the full 25, the boat is yours alone for the day: every charter is private, never shared with strangers.

What snorkel spots do you visit?+

Full-day charters typically hop between Castle Harbour, the Vixen Wreck, Cambridge Beaches, Pompano Beach and Grotto Bay, with the route shaped around the tide, the wind and what your group wants. Mask, snorkel and fins in adult and child sizes are included on every snorkel and day-cruise charter.

When is the best time of year for a Bermuda charter?+

Prime boating season runs May through October, when the water sits between 75 and 84 degrees Fahrenheit. July and August are the peak with the calmest seas. For sunset cruises, May and September deliver the most dramatic skies and the fewest weather cancellations. Book peak weekends two to four weeks ahead.

What happens if the weather turns bad?+

Sean makes the weather call on the day of your trip after reading the marine forecast and looking at the water. Light rain or clouds usually don't cancel anything. If conditions would make your group uncomfortable or unsafe, we reschedule to any open slot in your stay at no charge, or refund every dollar.

Can we bring our own food and drinks?+

Yes, BYOB is welcome on every charter: sandwiches, snacks, beer, wine or cocktails. We provide the cooler and keep it iced through the day. No glass on board for safety. If you'd rather not pack, we can recommend a Bermuda caterer who delivers straight to the boat.

Are kids welcome?+

All ages. The boat has shaded upper-deck seating, an easy swim ladder, a stable deck for little legs and the inflatable water slide that becomes the highlight of every kid's day. Child-sized life jackets and smaller snorkel gear are on board. Reef stops are calm enough for first-time snorkelers from about age six.

Can we change the plan once we're out there?+

Yes. The itinerary you discuss on WhatsApp is a starting point, not a contract. Love the first snorkel stop? We stay longer. Want to switch from cruising to fishing? We grab rods. Sean's job is making the day feel right, not marching through a checklist.
