Boat Rentals

Rent a boat in Bermuda.

One boat. 25 guests. A water slide. Captain included on every rental.

Boat rentals in Bermuda work a little differently than what you might be used to back home. Bermuda requires a local commercial license to operate any boat carrying paying guests, so every BDA Boats rental comes with a licensed captain who knows the reefs, the coves and the right beach for the right tide. You bring the group and the drinks, we bring the boat, the captain, the fuel, the snorkel gear and the cooler with ice. Half-day sunset rental or a full eight-hour day, your call.

Bermuda boat rental questions.

Can I rent a boat in Bermuda without a captain?+

Not as a visitor. Bermuda requires a local commercial license to operate a boat carrying paying guests, so every BDA Boats rental is captained. Your licensed captain handles all navigation, safety and Bermuda Maritime Authority requirements while you and your group enjoy the day. The captain is already included in every rate we quote, so there's no add-on fee.

How much does it cost to rent a boat in Bermuda?+

Rental rates depend on duration, group size and season. Every quote includes the licensed captain, fuel, snorkel gear, cooler with ice and life jackets. WhatsApp Sean at +1 (441) 518-7077 or email info@bdaboats.com with your dates and group size for a same-day rate.

How many people can rent the boat?+

The Pontune Paradise is licensed for up to 25 guests plus the captain. One boat handles everything from intimate groups of 4 to a full 25-person buyout. Tell us your headcount when you book so we can confirm capacity and pickup logistics.

Where can I rent a boat in Bermuda from?+

We pick up from every major dock in Bermuda. Most common pickups are Hamilton Harbour for central Pembroke, Dockyard for the West End or cruise-ship guests, Grotto Bay for Hamilton Parish, and Castle Harbour for the East End and St. George's. We confirm your preferred dock at booking. If you're not sure which is closest, send your address on WhatsApp and we'll recommend the fastest option.

What's included in a Bermuda boat rental?+

Every rental includes the licensed captain, fuel, snorkel gear in adult and child sizes, cooler with ice topped up through the day, life jackets and the inflatable water slide. BYOB is welcome (no glass). Bring whatever food and drinks you want. If you'd rather we arrange catering we can recommend a Bermuda caterer who delivers to the boat.

How far in advance should I book a Bermuda boat rental?+

Peak Bermuda boating runs May through October with July and August the busiest. For peak weekends and sunset rentals, book two to four weeks in advance. Off-peak weekdays and shoulder season can usually be confirmed 24 to 48 hours out. WhatsApp is the fastest way to check live availability since Sean answers 24 hours.

What happens if the weather turns?+

Sean makes the weather call the day of your rental after reading the actual marine forecast and looking at the water. Light rain or overcast skies usually don't cancel anything: the water stays warm and the boat has a Bimini for cover. If conditions would make you uncomfortable or unsafe, we reschedule to any open slot in your stay at no charge, or refund every dollar.

Are kids allowed on the boat?+

Yes, all ages welcome. The Pontune Paradise has shaded upper-deck seating, an easy swim ladder, a stable platform that's friendly for small kids, and the water slide that turns into the centerpiece of every kid's day. We carry child-sized life jackets and smaller snorkel gear. Tell us ages when you book.
